We’re hiring! Mechanical Designer (I–Principal)
Rochester, NY area | $85,000–$150,000 + up to 15% bonus
AP Executive Staffing is proud to partner with a fast-growing medical device manufacturer in the Rochester area to hire Mechanical Designers across all levels (I–Principal).
What You’ll Do:
- Create & maintain 3D models (Inventor) and 2D drawings (AutoCAD)
- Design medical device components, assemblies, test fixtures, and tooling
- Collaborate in design reviews & cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior designers (for senior/principal levels)
- Contribute to dFMEAs & product improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Recent experience in AutoCAD 2D + Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks is a plus)
- Strong grasp of manufacturing, machining, & mechanical design concepts
- Passion for precision — you treat your designs like artwork
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and materials
- Degree optional — skill & passion matter most!
