AP Executive Staffing is partnered with a great company to hire a Director of Revenue in Buffalo, NY.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity (located in Lackawanna, NY) focused on optimizing revenue operations for a well-established nonprofit organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Revenue plays a key role in maximizing billable units, overseeing billing operations, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with healthcare, mental health, and dental billing requirements.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $115,000, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Lead the billing/revenue department, overseeing the Billing Manager, Revenue Accountant, and Financial Analyst
- Analyze census/unit utilization and implement strategies to maximize revenue
- Monitor KPIs including denial management, accounts receivable, and unit trends
- Oversee agency contracts and ensure accurate, timely revenue recognition in line with GAAP
- Drive departmental workflow improvements and support financial forecasting and budgeting efforts
- Collaborate with program leaders to align revenue targets and support new program launches with market-based revenue projections
- Develop and maintain revenue policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of experience, including management OR Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience and management required
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across departments
- Experience working with diverse funding streams and regulatory bodies is highly valued, including: Special Education programs (IDEA-based funding), Behavioral health and residential treatment services, Child welfare and foster care structures, Services for individuals with developmental disabilities, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and self-pay environments, Public sector funding via state and county contracts
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required
