Position Summary
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for coordinating and performing human resources activities for the organization including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and leave management administration.
HRIS – UKG/Kronos
- Become knowledgeable in all modules and reporting features in UKG/Kronos
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll by reviewing employee timesheets and time off requests
Leave Management Administration
- Responsible for leave, disability, and workers compensation administration and serve as a subject matter expert on all issues related to FMLA, PSL, PFL and other leaves of absence for medical, family, and personal reasons in accordance with policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Develop an efficient record keeping system and tracking system to manage LOA process.
- Work with our disability provider to troubleshoot and navigate through employees' needs and questions.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues related to leave of absence issues.
Benefit Administration
- Assist new hires with enrollment into benefit programs.
- Answer questions from employees regarding benefit programs.
- Partner with insurance carriers and employees to resolve any insurance issues.
- Audit benefit reports to ensure accuracy of enrollments and employee elections.
- Support annual open enrollment for benefit plans.
Employee Relations
- Master company handbook policies and answer questions from leadership and employees.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations issues and terminations.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Talent Acquisition
- Possess a solid knowledge with relevant employment laws such as FLSA, ADA, ADEA, EEO and DEIB
- Conduct phone and/or in person interviews and select qualified candidates to continue through the recruitment process.
- Conduct reference checks, prepare offer letters ensuring salary is in alignment with company structure from an internal equity and policy perspective.
- Manage preboarding requirements including background verifications, drug screening process, transition from applicant to employee in HRIS system.
- Ensure all new hire paperwork and I-9 is completed on a timely basis.
Project Administration
- Provide support to the HR Team with major projects – recruitment classes, open enrollment, employee engagement, common review, HRIS implementations.
- Responsible for planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, company events, and retirement celebrations.
HR Recordkeeping
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee files, termination files, health records, leave management files, and background check files.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Responsible for HR Mailbox and all incoming correspondence. Direct inquiries to other HR staff members as needed. Ensure prompt response times.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in recruitment, employee relations, and leave management required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
