AP Executive Staffing is hiring a Payroll & Leave Administrator for our customer, a Global med-tech manufacturer. This role is a critical member of a lean HR team that is fully committed to an optimized HR culture, constantly advocating and supporting their employees. With a high prioritization of a quality employee experience, core responsibilities include the processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll, maintaining personnel records, and managing employee leaves of absence while resolving discrepancies and identifying process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll, including benefits, taxes, bonuses, terminations, and 401(k) deductions.
- Maintain time & attendance systems, direct deposit setup, and vacation accrual tracking.
- Enter and update payroll and personnel data across HR, Finance, and Operations systems.
- Administer all employee leaves, including FMLA, PFL, disability, personal leave, and workers’ compensation.
- Communicate with employees, managers, and insurance carriers regarding leave processes.
- Ensure legal compliance with payroll and leave regulations.
- Support audits and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
- Assist managers with accident reports and accommodations.
- Recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Promote and uphold workplace safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred.
- 2–4 years of payroll and leave administration experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems (Paychex preferred).
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, NYS Workers’ Compensation, and related regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage sensitive information.
