One of our top clients is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a specialized focus on managing physical and virtual Windows servers and experience with Citrix and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of network infrastructure principles and exhibit proficiency in ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of information systems. This role emphasizes the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows servers, with a significant component of the work involving Citrix and VMware platforms. The ideal candidate will also have experience in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Entra, and M365. It is crucial that this individual be able to work collaboratively with remote team members and managers and is capable of being self-directed regarding daily tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Windows Server management, Citrix, and Microsoft Azure.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), services (DNS, DHCP), and security practices.
- Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting, alongside Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and familiarity with cloud services, especially Azure.
- Windows 10, 11, Microsoft Teams, O365, Azure, Intune and Desktop/laptop Imaging technology knowledge.
- Familiar with Microsoft SQL servers and databases.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
