AP Executive Staffing is hiring a Buyer/Planner to manage procurement and inventory, ensuring cost control, quality, and on-time deliveries for our customer, a Global manufacturer of innovative technical solutions and manufacturing services for leading Fortune 500 med-tech companies and high potential start-ups. This role is ideal for someone with a strong focus on customer service and supply chain management, as you will be responsible for coordinating raw material purchases, evaluating suppliers, and maintaining MRP schedules while resolving discrepancies, building supplier relationships, and identifying process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement and inventory for raw materials and supplies
- Manage supplier relationships
- Analyze data for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Analyze MRP reports and ensure timely deliveries
- Resolve material discrepancies and improve processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer needs
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of supply chain management experience focused on managing supplier relationships
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- proactive, communicates well, and can work cross-functionally
- Knowledge of MRP systems and ISO standards.
Experience Preferences:
- Medical Device industry experience is nice-to-have
- MBA preferred
Salary: $67,000-$71,000, depending on experience.
