Accountant

AP Executive Staffing is hiring an Accountant for our customer, a growing healthcare solutions company. Located downtown Buffalo, NY (free parking), reporting to the Controller, this Direct Hire opportunity is a newly created role based on the growth trajectory and technology optimization goals of the business. Specific roles and responsibilities include:

• Prepare month-end financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and close processes in NetSuite.
• Manage financial reconciliations and assist with monthly financial statement packages.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis on a regular basis.
• Provide NetSuite administration support, especially for accounting functions.
• Review broker commission calculations and accruals in NetSuite.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
• Identify improvements for performance metrics and reporting in NetSuite.
• Assist with financial statement and retirement plan audits.
• Oversee corporate tax registration, compliance, and filings, coordinating with the Controller and tax accountants.
• Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation in NetSuite.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and SOPs within the company and department.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client procedures, and government regulations (including HIPAA).
• Track insurance policy renewals and assist with document preparation.
• Handle ad-hoc requests, transaction processing across multiple companies, and maintain communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between the Finance and Executive Teams, ensuring smooth communication and fostering positive interactions.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and current CPA license
• 3+ years of experience in a Public or Corporate Accounting role, preparing month-end financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and close processes
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system and Advanced MS Excel is essential

Mid-Market Target Range: $66,310-$88,400
