2nd Shift Machinist

APX is hiring a 2nd shift (3:15 - 11:45PM) Machinist to help build parts for our customer, a leading designer and manufacturer of temperature sensors and compression seal fittings. This is a Direct Hire opportunity based on the growing demand for our customer's cutting edge heat sealing products that are used across a broad range of industries and applications. Essential Functions:

• Setting up and operating manual lathes
• Using complex tools on machines which include threading and boring
• Operate equipment such as manual mills and drill press
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Education and Experience:

• HS or equivalent
• 2 years of experience Manual Mill/Drill Press Machining from blueprint to set-up and operation experience

Additional Notes: This Union position will be required to train on first shift for 1-2 months at $23.88/hour and will then assume normal 2nd shift hours with a $1.50/hour shift differential.
