AP Professionals has partnered with a commercial services provider seeking a Procurement Lead to join their team. This is a newly created position, identified through a skills gap. The Procurement Lead will work on a small team and report to the Controller. This is a very tactical position; they will work hands-on to initiate RFPs and evaluate submittals, partnering with management and operations leaders. Primarily, the Procurement Lead will focus on purchasing the best quality and cost supplies and services. Strong negotiation skills are required, as well as the ability to manage positive vendor relationships.


  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Creates, leads, and coordinates requests for proposals
  • Develop equipment, products, and materials specifications
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Coordinate logistics for supply deliveries to field staff; regularly monitor and communicate delivery updates
  • Process regular purchase requisition release into Purchase Orders, expediting as necessary
  • Maintain parts and pricing information in JD Edwards
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues and identify root cause and corrective action
  • Provide support to immediate and interdepartmental teams as necessary


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required


  • 5-10 years’ related procurement experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Strong internal and external communication skills at all levels
