• ensure the timely processing of payroll-related changes (hires, terminations, etc.)
• verify that systems are set up to be compliant with various contracts/policies
• manage the reporting of all payroll taxes
• supervise direct reports in the payroll department
• takes the lead with all payroll-related reporting to management and external parties
• take initiative to document processes and create process improvements for better efficiency
• work cross-functionally with HR and IT to add value to the company

• bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
• CPP, or willingness to obtain designation, preferred

• 5+ years of payroll management experience
• 2-3 years experience with a multi-state payroll department, minimum

• need to be a strong leader with a heart for developing people
• must have a comfort level with customer service and collaboration with teammates
