AP Professionals has partnered with an industrial parts distributor that is looking to add an Inside Sales Representative to their growing and established team.  The Inside Sales Representative will support and contribute to marketing plans and campaigns, outside sales representatives, targeted accounts, and already existing accounts. This position is a full-time, temp – hire position with hours of 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday.


  • Work directly with Director of Sales to create an annual operating plan – aligned to company growth goals and strategic plan
  • Create 3-6 annual goals with metrics and targeted activities to execute plan
  • Research account targets via LinkedIn, Company Business System and internet searches and publications to learn about target accounts and business opportunities
  • Create objectives and action plans for targeted accounts including key activities and milestones to achieve success – as well as key indicators on when to disqualify targets
  • Make outbound sales calls to targeted accounts
  • Log all call activity in CRM / Business System
  • Create appointments for self – and outside sales representatives to meet and make sales calls to target accounts
  • Work closely with Marketing Coordinator to determine where Inside Sales Rep supports ongoing marketing campaign efforts and initiatives
  • Follows a specific training curriculum – aligned to current year ISOP and product knowledge needs. Attend Company trainings and training events located at customer sites with Outside Sales Representatives
  • Manage .com Registrants with Marketing Coordinator. Follows up with .com Registrants via phone – and assigns action to Outside Sales Representatives
  • Schedules Monthly ISOP Review Meetings and create reporting metrics, action items and action plan


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications, preferred


  • 1 - 3 years in leading sales & marketing initiatives, demonstrated project management skills, preferred
  • Some sales experience preferred but not required
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software – SAP preferred

  • Microsoft office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
