Direct hire, $40-45k, downtown

AP Professionals is recruiting for a beautiful downtown office!  Support the immigration area and assist companies who are trying to keep employees who are on some type of Visa that may be expiring.  Collect data and information from a company and an employee and write a narrative to present their case. This position requires strong writing skills as well as someone who is comfortable speaking to a diverse population.  A legal or paralegal background is NOT required, but strong writing skills are a must.


  • Draft visa petitions and other documents for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State
  • Interact with clients from diverse organizations, professions, and cultural backgrounds
  • Investigate facts, collect and review source documents and materials
  • Function as a liaison between clients and attorneys
  • Manage client cases to ensure appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 1-3 years paralegal experience preferred, or other similar assignment involving significant writing assignments; writing samples will be requested of interviewed candidates
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills; ability to effectively plan work assignments to meet client needs
  • Strong attention to detail and skill in proofreading complex documents
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate with diverse individuals from various cultures
  • Ability to work independently, yet be an active contributor in a focused work team
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet search applications
