AP Professionals has teamed up with a local healthcare conglomerate seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather financial data from a variety of sources; updates and maintains a variety of financial data; prepares financial reports, financial statements and analysis for management review
  • Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Complete accounting research and proposes accounting treatment of various transactions for both GAAP and statutory accounting principles
  • Create and run reports in Hyperion as needed
  • Perform basic financial analysis and/or assist in complex financial analysis for supervisory review
  • Create models and make recommendations based on the analysis completed
  • Assist in the determination of the financial impact of various business options for strategic planning and other financial decisions
  • Responsible for the development and analyses of supporting financial schedules, including preparation of worksheets, maintenance of appropriate backup and documentation for internal control and auditing purposes
  • Offer suggestions and input on process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare financial reports, financial statements and forecasts
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual regulatory filings
  • Analyze and interpret financial records and reports; review and assess validity of financial estimates from a variety of sources
  • Oversee the development and analyses of supporting financial schedules, including preparation of worksheets, reconciliation of account balances, maintenance of appropriate backup and documentation for internal control and auditing policies and procedures
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial records and reports; review and assess validity of financial estimates from a variety of sources against stated business objectives
  • Review and approve executive summaries of monthly financial results and presentations to senior management and/or Board of Directors
  • Review and approve quarterly statutory filings to regulatory agencies and reporting to other external parties
  • Develop procedures and coordinate accounting transactions for various inter-company transactions
  • Review and approve project cost/benefit analyses prior to presentation to company management
  • Function as division/company representative on assigned corporate teams involving complex project implementations and/or evaluation and improvement of company practices
  • Assist with coordination and planning of annual financial projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ financial analysis experience required
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Financial modeling skills
  • MS Excel and SAS skills required
