The Billing Coordinator position is responsible for all billing and related reporting. This is a direct hire, full time position located in a stunning downtown Rochester, NY office. The pay is $20 per hour with medical, dental, vision, PTO, holiday, etc. benefits. Parking is not included, and the cost is approximately $100 per month.


  • Prepare, revise, and process invoices in the financial management system
  • Create and submit invoices to clients via the electronic billing system; follow up on clients’ payment status and appeals
  • Manage and review client and matter special billing rates
  • Prepare appropriate documentation for electronic billing procedures; responsible for setting up new users on the billing site and maintenance of the site as required
  • Provide training assistance to new employees for billing policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports as requested
  • File documents
  • Provide back-up coverage for other accounting positions


  • Associate’s degree and 1 to 3 years prior accounting, accounts receivable, billing, or related experience preferred; experience in a legal or professional service organization desirable

  • Strong mathematical skills; ability to perform standard computations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail; accurate with client billing information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, familiar with office equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of general billing and accounts receivable policies and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the Finance team
