The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The Accounts Payable Clerk must be computer savvy and comfortable learning to use Adobe Acrobat. Located downtown, this is a temp to hire, full time position with Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm hours paying $14.00 per hour.


  • Open, sort, scan, and process incoming mail
  • Manage, organize, name, and file electronic invoices
  • Match and combine electronic files (invoices/PO/order confirmations) in Adobe Acrobat
  • Batch and code invoices to general ledger accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports
  • Audit and post invoices batches daily
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Facilitate with weekly check writing
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Perform other duties as requested


  • 2 or 4 year degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficiency in data entry and management required
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel and Word) required
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Effective corporate communications skills
  • Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
