Temporary Accounting Position, $14/hr


  • Records individual entitlement checks, paychecks and other income on QuickBooks computer program
  • Controls the distribution of individual checks to assure availability of funds
  • Calculates, allocates and posts interest to individual accounts earned from bank account interest, when monthly interest earned on account is greater than monthly service charge
  • Reconciles individual accounts and balances to the overall PMF Account
  • Develops comprehensive knowledge of Representative Payee governmental regulations to ensure compliance
  • Receives and copies all government entitlement checks and other miscellaneous checks
  • Maintains copies of PMF requests and entitlement checks
  • Completes weekly reports on the status of individual accounts for Case Managers/Social Workers
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports following generally accepted accounting procedures and government requirements
  • Develops various reports as needed to assist management
  • Reviews and posts loan payments from the Independent Living Loan Fund, to persons’ receiving services accounts, and maintains accurate receivable records on loan balances
  • Provides basic bookkeeping services in absence of other business office staff
  • Performs routine and specialized computer data processing/typing of documents and filing accounting reports and policies
  • Processes vendor invoice in accordance with accounts payable procedures and ensures proper authorizations and coding in accordance with agency policy
  • Collects information on outstanding accounts payable checks so that the checks can be voided in a timely manner according to the Business Office Policy
  • Responsible for Self-Directed spreadsheets
  • Assists in assembling records for various audits and financial review


  • High School Diploma/GED with six (6) months of related experience OR Associate’s Degree
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing our status as Representative Payee
  • Knowledge of business arithmetic, basic computer literacy, data processing/ word processing
  • County clearance of criminal convictions
  • A drug screen prior to the commencement of employment
