Description
We're hiring a detail orientated full charge Bookkeeper for an integral position with our downtown Buffalo client. The Bookkeeper is responsible for keeping the general ledgers up-to-date, ensuring the accuracy of all financial information, payroll and commissions. QuickBooks is utilized for software. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.
Compensation: $40,000 - $55,000 yearly, based on experience. Excellent benefits and free parking!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure transactions are recorded properly in all ledgers
- Make sure accounts payable/accounts receivable are processed efficiently
- Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time
- Perform all bookkeeping duties and maintain and maintain financial statements
- Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements
- Prepare commission statements, cut commission checks and complete year end 1099’s
- Run reports for management including for listings, sales, closing analysis, commission and payroll
- Keep the P & L current and maintain date for trends
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Bookkeeper / Accountant
- Candidate must have an Associate’s degree in accounting or similar field; Bachelor’s preferred
- Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Real Estate experience a plus
- Problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
