Do you have a passion for technical writing?
We’re recruiting for a Technical Writer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in creating, revising, and maintaining technical documentation that supports equipment operations, quality standards, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and driven by accuracy. You’ll work closely with engineers, operations managers, safety officers, maintenance personnel, and sales teams to ensure documentation is clear, concise, and useful across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update technical documentation, including work instructions, equipment manuals, SOPs, maintenance procedures, and safety materials
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for various audiences
- Partner with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and reflect current practices
- Ensure documentation meets internal quality guidelines and external regulatory standards (ISO, OSHA, FDA, etc.)
- Manage and organize controlled document libraries using a DMS
- Support audit preparation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with technical diagrams, training materials, and visual documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex systems
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with document control systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience with CAD software or visual documentation tools is a plus
- Must be comfortable wearing PPE and working in production environments to gather accurate information
