Description
Act as a strategic liaison between the client and carrier partners. Ensure appropriate engagement between the client and Benefit Consultant. Responsible for overall management of client accounts, including benefit program implementation, project management, and delivering an overall meaningful and beneficial experience for our clients. An account manager must have an intermediary level of proficiency in each of our core disciplines; Organization, Client Solutions, Technology, Communication and Compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Assist in preparing bid specifications for Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Collaborate with Benefit Consultant to analyze and provide strategy to key constituents using marketing prepared quotes
CLIENT SOLUTIONS
- Research appropriate coverage options for each client
- Responsible to oversee the day-to-day management of employee benefit accounts
- Develop Long-Term partnerships with clients (including Owner, CEO, CFO, HR) and carriers
- Work in conjunction with Benefit Consultant to manage the annual client renewal
- Prepare client renewal presentations, employee education materials, and open enrollment materials
- Assist clients with service questions related to administration, benefits, billing, claims issues and problem solving, upon request
- Maintain relationships with carrier representatives, staying abreast of new products, carrier procedural changes and market trends
TECHNOLOGY
- Create formatted excel templates with basic formulas
- Create client open enrollment presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint
- Utilize available resources such as Zywave and HRIS systems for client solutions
- Build out benefit package on Benefit Administration system
- Manage overall EDI/API feed process to ensure client eligibility is accurate and timely
- Utilize Go to Meeting for client meetings, employee open enrollment meetings, webinars
COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION
- Utilize communication resources to drive employees and associates to a higher understanding of benefit knowledge.
- Communicate with employer and employees on benefit questions or concerns.
COMPLIANCE
- Present client with solutions to employee benefit concerns using carrier expertise, compliance and HR guidance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1-5 years of Employee Benefit Experience with managing fully insured clients.
- Proficient in excel data entry, basic formulas, and formatting.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and research skills related to coverage.
- Proven ability to manage renewal and marketing process, prepare materials for presentations and communications.
- History of reviewing proposals, contracts, and benefit plan summaries.
- Ability to participate in discussions with C-Suite client contacts.
- Ability to build benefits into Benefits Administration system

PAY: From $23-$28 an hour

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:
