This position will serve as business partner and consultant for two operational sites, working collaboratively with the HR teams for innovative solutions and process improvements while ensuring cohesion across the sites.  In addition, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and executing human resource and business strategies and programs.


  • Provide assistance and guidance on HR related issues and initiatives while coaching and counseling management on policies and procedures
  • Ensure legal compliance by implementing applicable corporate procedures and policies for local, state and federal requirements
  • Advise, counsel, interpret, and administer policies/procedures to ensure consistent application and compliance
  • Counsel directors/managers in matters involving associate absenteeism, performance, conduct, and working relationships
  • Attend divisional management meetings
  • Follow all site safety requirements and partner with the leadership team to drive a culture of safety
  • Participating in the preparation for and delivery of quarterly employee meetings
  • Gather HR metrics and identify current and future talent needs
  • Consult on requests for position reviews, internal reorganizations, compensation, and structure changes
  • Analyze management training needs and develop/facilitate training
  • Act as a liaison for recruitment, compensation, and benefits
  • Partner with the operations team on the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues
  • Work with managers to identify staffing needs and ensure adequate staffing to meet volume projections including developing and implement staffing strategies
  • Work with managers to create, revise, and maintain accurate job descriptions
  • Recruit, screen, and recommend candidates for interview and employment
  • Monitor leave of absences, disability, and FMLA requests
  • Support site leadership with employee relation matters, including corrective actions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Manager workers compensation cases



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years’ related experience and/or training, preferred
  • HR Certification a plus
  • Experience managing exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
