Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Create financial models including projections and valuation analyses as basis for making recommendations
  • Successfully translate data into clear, concise written and verbal presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations to management
  • Coordinate, and at times conduct meetings with third parties
  • Manage the aggregation and interpretation of information during the diligence process to evaluate the merits and risks of potential investments
  • Collect pertinent information from various sources, including online and hard copy publications, reference works, databases, analyst calls, press releases, reports, etc.
  • Conduct research and analysis of market and industry trends
  • Compare performance to similar products in the market for purposes of competitive analysis
  • Produce in-depth financial analysis, insights and management reports to closely monitor business performance and support informed decision making
  • Assist in preparing information to be included in various Board of Director and Investment/Portfolio Review Committee reporting
  • Facilitate preparation of quarterly communications to shareholders and quarterly updates to marketing materials
  • Interface closely with finance, accounting, legal, and marketing team members
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to senior management
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as required


  • Strong financial analysis skills with an in-depth ability to read, evaluate and understand internal and audited financial statements
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, data manipulation and due diligence skills, with the ability to apply data management skills to complex business situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively present data, findings and recommendations
  • Understanding of finance, real estate and capital markets terms and concepts
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts, calculations and applications
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experienced information gathering and information monitoring skills
  • Effective decision-making skills and an ability to perform under deadline pressure
  • Solid work ethic and a professional, proactive and positive approach to work
  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple analytical projects and follow through in a timely manner
  • Work well independently and in a team. Self-starter, but not hesitant to ask for direction as needed
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills


  • Bachelor’s degree with significant work in quantitative subjects
  • 5 to 7 years’ relevant work experience in a financial planning and analysis role
  • Experience in private equity and/or direct real estate investment a plus
